Who made the best picks?- Without a doubt Jim Cantamessa. I remember him leveling some guy at half court to breakup a press. He is now an assist coach at Greensboro College. Who had the best floater? Its a toss-up between Mike Brown and Kyle Downey. Who had the best dunk? Edwin with the 360° against Fairfiled in the Championship, or against Niagara down the lane from the sprend offense.
This is for fun. Give us your own!!!

I prefer dunks in traffic
My favorites in no particular order
- Brandon fields against Iona - alex franklin on numerous occasions - Brent sniezyk against Syracuse.
In my opinion all were more impressive than Ubiles

In my opinion all were more impressive than Ubiles That one by Fields against Iona was on his own missed free throw, right? I think that's my favorite. I was in the upper deck for that, and some a-hole Iona fan talked all sorts of trash after that game. He came closer than he'll ever know to getting knocked the F out!

don't remember the situation, but Fields just came out of nowhere & elevated 235# as a senior, 185# as a freshman, loved him. Brent's back to the baseline dunk just pleasing in front 20k cuse fans. Oh if he only had a coach. Eddie & Alex dunks were routine for athletic gifts.

Brandon Fields had a Sportscenter highlight dunk that was the best I have ever seen by a Siena player. I don't remember which team it was against.

That was the dunk I referenced... maac tournament... at the TUC. Siena going on a tear to get back in the game. Fields elevates over a defender who attempted to stand his ground. Fields waist down was plastered to the defender just below the foul line as he threw it down in what was an ultimate facial... on national TV

A sports photog in Troy gave me an 8x10 of that dunk. It's hanging in the Siena gallery in my office :-)

I didn't have access to too many Siena games pre-2000, so they're all post-millenial moments:
- Sniezyk's dunk against Cuse was great - Clarence Jackson's baseline drive and two-handed flush at Pitt was like an unexpected bolt of lightning. I remember literally jumping off the couch for that one. - Alex Franklin had too many quality stuffs to count, especially senior year taking it to defenders from the foul line and embarassing them. - I have to put Edwin's 360 in the MAAC finals in there, if only for the elevated importance of that moment.

Sticking w/ dunks & in no particular order.
Marcus' baseline dive dunk over his defender. Ref would have called a charge but the only thing Marcus touched the guy with was his crotch OnThe guy's head.
Eddie's 360.
Brent's at the dome.
Not sure it was Alex's first time at one of many similar dunks his Jr or Sr year, but at Manhattan backed into post - was triple teamed - dribbled to foul line/top of key - turned and drove to basket for a dunk before the triple team could react. He did many more like this all season long.
Kyle D's & Haddix's lone dunks Sr yr.
Finally, Eddie's in bound pass from in front of Siena bench to a cutting Franklin alley pop dunk - i believe that no time ran off the clock.

Passes/Assists: Tie between Mark Brown & Ronald Moore.
Mark with fancy no look, behind the back, through the legs, etc flashy passes leading to assists.
Ron with all those half to 3/4 Court passes leading to easy lay-ups. Bullet passes in the lane for easy lay-up/dunk.
Mark's flashiness with precision & Ron's precision.

Best picks? Canatamessa was good but Steve McCoy had a couple that involved TKOs

I can't remember the exact game..it was either a league championship game or an NIT game. 6'11" Tim Sise took the ball up..stopped at the 3 pt line and buried it. It broke the spirit of the other team. If any one can help with more details I'd appreciate it.
