Three cheers in support of Siena's decision to not accept Mr. Buie.

some of you should pat yourselves on the back for your write-in campaign to prevent the addition of Buie

IMHO ... There's absolutely no doubt ithat Patsos had no say in this matter and it was the usual suspects that put an end to it .........

Too much bad PR associated w/ Buie and when you consider what Siena just went through w/ Brookins and Burdine ... No way Siena D'Arg and Father K were going to gamble on Buie. It would have been a PR nightmare if it went the wrong way. Just sayin' !!!!

The "influential alumni" made this decision. I'm still in the middle on this one anyway. Talented kid, but could very well be trouble.

Dean of Students also played a major factor

But then again the powers that be have never felt a need to recruit local talent anyway

I don’t believe so.

i would venture to guess they weigh, to some extent, opinions voiced in a write-in campaign (some on this board participated) intended to voice displeasure of the possible addition of Buie. One wonders if those same people made their voices heard at the destruction left in the wake of the Program Wrecker TM

Hard to believe that, if Jimmy really pushed for this, the administration would have gone along. Unless the honeymoon period is over

Obviously the opinions of the faithful fans is a factor in determining the slope of the risk reward equation.

The more I think of it this was the CORRECT call. If Siena took Buie and he got into trouble it could have been a real mess especially after Brookins and Burdine. When they got suspended for the Vermont game last year it set a terrible tone for the entire season. I don't believe it will hurt us at all with local kids. We gave Taran a serious look and did the homework on it. Maybe the waiver wasn't a sure thing either. If it wasn't then there would be no reason to have Buie on scholarship for two seasons if he could only play one year and that year being when Pat Cole was eligible. Hopefully the staff will land a top target with the opening we have for 2014.
