Things have settled down as the summer approaches. Does anyone have information on anything interesting with our kids on the team? Even small info we would find interesting? I was thinking even about who is going to be on campus this summer. Any of our incoming freshmen going to summer school? etc.

He's really bummed about it. Trenity Burdine recently enrolled at Crayola University and is taking a Burnt Siena class.

I am pretty sure the last test dates were 6/1 for the SAT and 6/8 for the ACT. Results should be available within three weeks for both.

Singelais just tweeted that White is fully qualified now according to his HS coach and intends on enrolling at Siena for summer classes.
If that proves accurate don't know what it means for Buie since we would be all out of scholarships unless we have another departure.

Not every player is required to be on scholarship. They can pay their own way, get grants, etc. It happens all the time. I know that Siena doesn't have Harvard's kind of money, but their whole team is on grants, which is pissing off the other Ivy League schools but is completely legal.

Harvard also has an embarrassing APR. If they don't right the ship, they could face postseason a post-season ban. For Academics. At an Ivy League School.

They should kick them out and add Holy Cross instead. So I believe the NCAA rules allow for 13 scholarships and a roster of 15. Siena does already have two walk-ons in Cruz and Lepp. But Cole is redshirting, so does he maybe count against the scholarship limit but NOT the roster limit? If that's the case, then there would be room for a 3rd walk-on.

Look at reason rosters at Kentucky, Texas Tech, Butler, St Joe's, just off the top of my head I know have been above 15 in recent years. Billy Gillespie had about 10 walk-ons when he was at Kentucky.

This will probably surprise a few of you, but there is another Capital District team that has had some success at the D1 level the past few years and yet they do not give a single athletic scholarship in any sport. That school is Union College with less than 2,100 undergraduates (about 1,000 fewer than Siena) who last year made it to "The Frozen Four" and this past season came within a game of making it again, despite not giving an athletic scholarship to any of it's 28 team members. They are one of 10 (out of roughly 60) D1 hockey programs that don't give athletic scholarships. The others? Rochester Institute of Technology (they made the Frozen Four 3 years ago), Army and Air Force (for obvious reasons) and the six Ivy League Schools (they must piss each other off tremendously by doing this). So what is the big deal whether you have scholarships or "grants-in-aid", same thing aren't they when you come right down to it?
