What are our chances of landing Wolfe or having Jiggett's change his mind? Any preference? Jiggett's brings scoring and another very good ball handler who can log time at the point which is a need and Wolfe bolsters the front court w/ Long JO and Silas, another need.

Based on wHat I have read, it does not sound like Jiggetts is changing his mind about his decommitment. With Hymes having decided to return, the need for Stephan is decreased. Jimmy has been pretty outspoken about only wanting players who want to be here.
Therefore, if we had a choice between Jiggetts and Wolfe, I would take Wolfe. The only players above 6'7 are Imo, Brett and Javion. What I don't know is how committed he is to a year of prep. He decommitted in March, before Jimmy got the Siena job, and one of the reasons expressed was that he is only 17 and needs to get bigger (stronger) to play D1 ball. A redshirt year might be an alternative.

Sign Wolfe now. Good upside and is the kind of kid if given a year will blow up and we lose out. Two of the old staff's 2014 recruitts have already blown up. Tyler Lydon went from offers from Siena and JMU to Iowa, BC and others in the last 3 weeks. Get big guys early before they blow up- lt more 6-1 guys in he world gym 6-9 guys

Siena certainly needs a 6'9 guy more that they need a 5th 2 guard right now. I'd go with Wolfe. I think he needa some work, but he'll be a good one in a season or 2.

Audu and Oliver are huge question marks and I'm not that comfortable w/ Hymes logging more than 10 minutes a game. As it stands now our 2 is a weak link and we have no depth at PG. Poole can & will play the 2 but he's really a "tweener". That being said I understand the need for Wolfe and could argue he's the best get if available. I don't now anything about White and if he can fill the 2 at a high level of play.

From what I saw in the pickup games Audi is a decent 2 with Wright at the pt. Wright makes the game easier for a player like Audi who played off the ball well and was able to catch and shoot with Wright feeding him ...he also filled the lane on the break and slashed in the half court ....Lavon defended him the entire time ..they were going back and forth ...he used his experience to make plays on the perimeter

Audi used his experience on the perimeter so Lavon started posting him up and using his size advantage taking Audi to the basket ...Poole is injured and did not play but Patsos already said Poole would make a good 2 for him

Audu has the tools. He just needs to get more comfortable. Cut down the TOs and drive more. Having the lanes clogged cause of OD certainly didn't help him.
Oliver and Audu were just frosh afterall. Most recruits need a year.
Look at the jump Poole and Burdine took in their 2nd years' playing.

I can see that KK....his game is more mature than Lavon's is right now

With Audu its all about his ballhandling....needs to tighten it up.

Regarding Wolfe or Jiggetts - Promise I don't mean this in a disrespectful manner but from what I've seen - pass on both.
Jiggetts doesn't have amazing quickness so he too small to compete at the guard spots.
Wolfe reminds me of Gary Holle - good size and athleticism but is pretty thin so he will be manhandled in D1. Best thing for him is a year of prep to see if he can fill-out and if not a lower level of ball would probably be most fulfilling for him.
Again, this is my opinion based on what I've seen so I could be wrong and there is no disrespect intended to either.

I know you have to take ESPN w/ a grain of salt but it sounds like he's young and has the frame to bulk up and get stronger.
From ESPN: He brings an athletic presence to the frontcourt with good size, length, and agility. He runs the floor well, has a cut upper body, and the frame to support more muscle mass once he enters a college weight program. He gets off his feet quickly to rebound, block shots, ... for full access to RecruitingNation become an Insider
BTW I truly believe PPCs comment about Wright making the game easier for everyone is absolutely correct. It's amazing what a talented PG can do for a team.

Thought I recall reading that Wolfe is still only 17.
He looks like a promising recruit, don't know if it would be most advantageous to come to Siena and redshirt or go prep for a year and get stronger there.

If a redshirt is on the table for him I would take it rather than prep.....My advice was to use the redshirt year to develop and earn a spot for next year competing with the players that are playing now ...if he goes prep Siena might not get him and where ever he goes he will start from scratch and compete with guys that have established themselves already
