2 very talented NY guards just committed to colleges today. One out of HS, and one transfer. Both will going to A-10 schools.
Jabarie Hinds (Mt. Vernon) has left West Virginia and will be joining the UMass program.
Jon Severe (CTK), was the best HS guard in NYS last year, has decided to go to Fordham.
These are the type of kids that we would have a legit shot at being a member of the A-10. These 2 would rarely consider a MAAC school.
Membership has its privleges.

Yes that's where I am headed ...adding Siena would benefit the league in terms of travel partners ...I heard that among other things that make Siena a good fit for A10

The A-10 does use a travel partner system in sports other than basketball. Presumably the new-look A-10 could be something like URI/UMass, Siena/Fordham, Bona/Duquesne, St. Joe's/LaSalle, GWU/GMU, VCU/Richmond... and maybe Davidson/Charleston, or maybe not.

The A-10 doesn't really use travel partners. That said, Siena is very much in play.
Hoping your Saints get in soon, because that will mean good things for Saint Louis too.

I hope you guys get into the Big East! Definitely no travel partners in basketball, but it looks like the A-10 does a lot of different things to keep travel costs down in the non-revenue sports. Go look at SLU's schedules in men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball, those are definitely travel partners, as is women's lacrosse. Baseball and softball play multiple games during trips. Field hockey conference schedule is short. Tennis literally has no A-10 conference schedule at all (unlike the MAAC). And the rest of the sports use meets instead of individual matchups. It's definitely a conference that focuses its resources on basketball.
