Siena is in no way "settling" for a situation like Marist had, where they have a coach that wins just enough to stick around.............Patsos was hired to bring this program back to the level that Fran achieved and hopefully beyond...........if that does not occur, then Jimmy is fully aware of what will happen, a bad ending...........with the potential move to the A10 very much a possibility for Siena, there are no half ass attempts at just getting by, the expectations are extremely high and all the resources will be available for the school to move forward..............if Patsos is here a long time it won't be because he is a good guy or the colorful persona that he exudes, it will because he is winning alot, getting to post season and hanging banners!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I don't get the "Magarity" references or concerns...we already had our Magarity his name was Rob Lanier. Lanier was not truly awful like Bob Beyer or the PW. But he wasn't a good coach either - a very Will Brown/Magarity like 58-70 record but had two postseason trips.
Worst case with Jimmy... Siena is in the 18-13 range and only making CITs with him. While it would be fine for his first couple of years eventually that would stink.
Best case with Jimmy... Siena returns to the NCAAs many times and makes a couple of deep runs there.

Umm, Lanier wasn't a Magarity but I see your point MTS. Lanier was iffy in 2 out of 3 seasons. DM was generally more consistent.
I don't think people are saying (at least I'm not) that PJ is going to be a DM. It's just that there is a concern. In fact, that's not really a knock on PJ or DM for that matter. It is more a reflection of the hopes that the Siena fan base has on the level of accomplishment they'd like to see.
