“They want to get him in right away and see if they can sell Siena like they sold Loyola,” Lisa Long said
The Longs obviously haven't been to Siena before. If Patsos can't sell Siena better than Loyola, we've got a problem. Just show him the TUC and the illustrations of the new $15 million practice facility and that just about ought to do it. Same coach, same system, but facilities that are a whole order of magnitude better than anything Loyola or any other MAAC school could ever offer.
Here's my question though: how the hell is Wright taking an official visit to Siena next week with Long when Wright hasn't yet been released from his signed letter of intent to Loyola? That sounds like a whole heap of trouble for Siena if that's the case.

I’m quite sure the official visit is contingent on Wright getting a release from his LOI

I love the fact that he wants to play facing the basket. He could be a really tough match-up for teams given his size and skill set. Hopefully, Jimmy and Siena can close the deal!

' No they didn't. That visit was cancelled after Dear Old Mitch couldn't find time to make an in-home visit last year. The Long's have not been to Siena.

Ok - I don't want to be unfair or use hyperbole but based on this video www.hudl.com/athlete/267679/highlights/10422375 I see a lot of ShowBiz in him. A generation later we could have the next slight of stature jet with the ball attached to his hand bringing 10,000 fans to their feet on a nightly basis. Hope he likes Siena and Jimmy gets it all worked out!

White never signed a LOI and Long got out of his, so they're good to go. But Wright is still committed to Loyola. He needs to get his release if he plans on being on this visit. I find it troublesome that White orally commited without even seeing the school. That doesn't strike me as something someone who cares too much about the student part of being a student-athlete would do.

Mark Singelais@MarkSingelais North Point (Md.) PG Marquis Wright is working on getting release from Loyola, hopes to visit Siena "very soon," says his high school coach.
Ah, there it is. Good. Last thing Siena needs is more controversy right now.

I agree with the sentiments about Wright and this incoming potential class. Love Wrights basketball smarts, he is always a move ahead in his mind a quality of good point guards. White is impressive too watching him play against good competition and more than holds his own.

Wow. If Jimmy can land Wright and Long along with the other incoming recruits, I think we have a bright future ahead of us!!
